What a wonderful and informative site that I stumbled upon while researching information on one of my cat's current health crisis. My name is Carol and my daughter and I own 3 cats: Scrawny -13 yrs old, Milo - 8 yrs old, and Wolowitz - 10 months old. All of our kitties "adopted" us. Each one wandered into our yard at various times in our lives, introduced themselves and walked right in the door as if they knew they found a place where they would be pampered and loved for the rest of their furry little lives.
I always had cats and dogs as pets while growing up but I prefer cats because they are low maintenance compared to dogs; at least that's what I thought until Milo and Scrawny became ill recently. Scrawny is almost fully well but Milo took a turn for the worse. I posted a thread about him under the tag "lower respiratory problem - won't eat". I now tell all my friends and co-workers to make sure they get pet insurance if they are going to have pets!
I am glad that I found a site where I can not only get info about cat health but support and encouragement from cat moms and dads who understand that our cats are family members and when "they hurt, we hurt". I look forward to chatting with everyone here and I will be posting pics of our threesome soon.
