Good morning!

Thursday night a stray kitten walked up to my boyfriend and he decided to keep her! I have some questions about her since I've never really taken care of such a young baby.

We think she's about 6-7 weeks old.

Her tummy is kind of hard, since we've had her we have not seen her poop or pee.

We did try to stimulate her to make her go but no luck.

She seems to be crying/meowing a lot.

She's had formula and formula mixed with wet food.

We've set up a litter box for her and have put her in it and scratched her paws in the litter but she hasn't taken to it and we haven't seen anything in it.

Also, she seems to get in the poop position and cry but nothing comes out and she seems to do this most of the time.

She seems very needy, I know this is because she is without her mother and brothers/sister, but I also worry that there's something wrong with her. But before I freak out and take her to the vet for "normal" kitten behavior I wanted to get y'alls opinions. So any advice on what to do or what might be wrong is greatly appreciated!!! I do plan on taking her to the vet soon but didn't know if I needed to do it RIGHT NOW!

TIA!!!

She sounds constipated. That can be painful and dangerous, so I would call the vet. Good luck!
I agree, better not to experiment but visit a vet. They do have effective measures.

The vet can surely also do a check up, and suggest suitable deparasiting.

Good luck!

ps.  One thing you can always do, is to do your outmost to give her a comfy and non stressing milieu. It MAY be be additional here...

I mean, dont do it instead of this vet visit, but do it parallelly.

Basically just agreeing. This is not normal kitten behavior.  You have to take her to the vet.  She should be getting her first set of shots and well kitten exam anyway, so even if it all sounded normal, I would urge you to take her in ASAP. However, this is definitely not normal.  If she is constipated or blocked (particularly the second) this is an emergency.  I'd take her immediately.

Good luck.

Definitely go to a vet as soon as you can. Plus, you'd want to have the vet check up on her for other things/get her shots too! I always have some questions prepared before I go to the vet, this way I can have all my concerns answered on the spot by a professional
! After I brought home Nikki from the vet for the first time, I dropped off my papers at my local town hall and had him licensed by the town. And as everyone else said, good luck
!
