I did a search and did not find my answer. Nutro Natural Choice recently both changed their formulas as well as their bags. I have been feeding all 5 cats the chicken and rice formula for over 5 years now. I accidentally bought the wrong bag the other day as the senior bag is the same color bag as the regular indoor dry cat food. I compared the ingredient  and everything is basically the same with the exception of the pea protein and the brown rice was moved around in the order. The cats appear to like the new formula so far. My 5 cats (7-15 years old) are pretty much ideal weight. Senior foods tend to have more carbs from my reading. Should I stay with the senior formula or go to the basic indoor cat dry food when it is gone? My cat's also share one can of canned food once a day. Thanks!

Good evening ~

I work for Nutro and to answer your question, Nutro did make some changes to the formula.  They reduced the ingredient panel so the food is more natural while still remaining nutrient dense.  If your cats are about 5-6 then they are still adults and you can return to the chicken and rice formula. The protein levels are different to accommodate the needs of the two age groups.

Let me know if that helps of if I can answer another question.
