has anyone heard of this for IBD?

My vet told me to try to find something called Tylosin for my cats IBD seeing as nothing seems to be working.  Has anyone ever heard of it ?  Any suggestions?  My cat has feline leukemia and FIV and IBD....and now they have found protein in his urine.  He is on Prednilisone and that has pretty much saved his life so far, but now things are advancing. 

I don't profess to know much about IBD, but I just googled Tylosin, and see that it's apparently an antibiotic and IS used for IBD, among other things.

If your Vet recommended it, and nothing else is working, I'd probably give it a try.. 

thank you!!   I wasn't sure about it and the Vet said that I could get some at like a Homestead store ( or Feed Store ).. so I guess I will call the place where my daughter gets feed for her chickens!
