Hello :)

I'm not sure what to say about myself :)) I'm 38 years old, I'm a graphic designer, I love all animals but cats have that special spot in my heart. As much as I can, I help local animal shelter with what I do, we are a great team and I do believe that it's one of the best, if not the best, shelter in our country. I strongly believe in s/n to prevent needless deaths and support TNR for ferrals. Among many reasons that's why I think that The cat site is a great place to be.

And these are my three loved ones. They all live indoors.

Miži (Winkey) was found in a plastic bag in a garbage bin. He was rescued by volunteer who happend to had an abendoned nursing cat mom and she raised him and his brothers and sisters. I adopted him 6 years ago at age of 8 months. No one wanted him, because of his bad eye. I adore him, he is the best cat ever.

Orange came to my door 5 years ago and never left. He was about 8 months old, I neutered him and was going to find him a new home. His test came out FIV positive, so he moved in the house and stay. He has many problems (was obviously hit by a car or something similar, while he wandered around), one of them were crystals in his bladder and he still pee outside the box sometimes. We are doing all we can, to find out what causes that and how to prevent it. That's how I found this site and all the helpful answers. No matter what, we love him very much, he is a sweet boy and we will keep on looking for answers and trying out different things :)

Debeli (Fatty) was an adult feral cat, alfa male of the area. Some people were actually afraid of him. He came to the house short after we moved in. It took almost a year of feeding and **s kissing to earn his trust, in that time I was doing all the parasite treatments and finally trapped him and neuter him. His test turned out FIV positive too. He was not comfortable in the house so he stayed indoor/outdoor cat for few more years. About 4 years ago we had really freezing winter, he spet most of his days in front of the fire place, found out that a litter box is actually very comfortable and not at all scarry and became couch cat since. He is now the best roommate - clean, never scratches anything but scratching post, purring all the time and stays off furniture. He was the best house warming gift we could get :)

I'm sorry, this turned out so much longer that I intended :)) I don't have much to say about myself, but can ramble on forever about my cats. But I guess this is the right place to do so :) I wanna apologize in advance for my English, it's not my first language so there will be many typos and grammar fails

Great to meet you all!

Hello and welcome to TCS. I love Slovenia - I lived in Sarajevo for 10 years and often went to Slovenia on holiday. Your cats are gorgeous - I brought four cats from Bosnia back here with me to France when I moved - one of them is a white cat with eye problems. I do not know if you can get l-lysine there, but I give it to Wellington daily, and it has made a huge difference to his eye - he no longer has constant infections or brown weeping matter. I look forward to hearing more about you and your cats.
