I have a Koblenz floor/carpet cleaning machine. On the back of the handle by the on/off dial is a trigger pull that you operate with your index finger to release the cleaning/shampoo solution from the canister. The solution is released into a tube and is dispensed into the brushes/pads at the bottom.

The trigger is a thick hard plastic, but it somehow "dissolved" around the screw and broke into 2 parts, which meant that the solution couldn't be released from the canister. I still used the machine, but I sprinkled the solution on the floor or carpet by hand.   I finally got around to calling a repair shop to see how much it would cost to fix.

The guy quoted me about $100!  They would have to order the part and then install it, so the total with labour was about $100.00.

I called Koblenz in Texas a week or so ago and asked how much the part was. Each one is $1.50. I ordered 3.  Tonight I put one on the machine.  It took me about 1 hour only because I had problems with the little spring. It kept springing off and flying all around the apartment!  LOL  But I persisted and finally got it to stay where it belonged.

Now I can use the machine again the way it was meant too.
