I just stumbled on the site today and MAN, I've been looking for a site dedicated to Cats forever! Glad I finally found one
I'm Alexa (though Lexi will suffice) and I'm a 22 year old cat momma! I've had cats since I was a baby and I know them much better than I do any other pet, so finding a site like this was awesome!
Currently, I'm the mother to two 22 month old cats, both gray and semi-long haired (Their mom was a long haired cat, but their dad -unknown- was short haired). I first got them when they were just born. The male is GLaDOS and the female is Navi. (+10 points if you get their references!) Their mother was a stray and decided to have her kittens in the house of my then-boyfriend's step-brother. After much pleading, I was allowed to get both of them, though me and him were living apart, so I didn't actually get to meet them until when he moved to Florida to be with me three months after they were born. They've been with me ever since, through three (!) moves and a big breakup. I also like to dub them 'The Marshmallows', due to how fluffy they are.
I also live in a house with two other cats besides them: A 6 months old kitten (we believe she's part Abyssinian) named Zelda that belongs to my sister that stays in the large bedroom that the Marshmallows are kept in and a 14 year old black cat named Shadow that belongs to my dad and who roams the rest of the house. He doesn't get along with the rest of the cats, hence why he's allowed to roam the house and they're not. They don't really seem to mind, though.
I plan to post pictures tomorrow after work and I hope to get to know the rest of you guys!
