Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask some of you if you could tell me your food rotation, let's say, "schedules" ?

I'm not exactly sure what is the good way to do it since one of my cats has had a very sensitive stomach lately and a small change in his food gets him diarrhea :\

Thanks!

not exactly sure what you mean by rotation.  If you are feeding kibble, you don't want to make abrupt changes, but rather slowly introduce the new kibble by mixing it into the old kibble a little at a time.  If you make another change, do it slowly again.  Don't rotate kibble often.

If you are feeding canned, the better option IMHO,  you should just be able to switch canned foods randomly...one brand for breakfast, another for lunch, yet another for dinner.

If your cat has a sensitive stomach, have you tried giving him probiotics?  Many of us give our furbabies probiotics, and several of us give them the same ones we take ourselves!  We just open up the capsules and mix into their food. This is the one I give mine   one capsule per day for each cat:

My rotation is 1) Radcat (frozen raw) chicken, 2) Radcat Turkey and 3) Hound and Gatos canned chicken.

I had three others in my rotation (EVO canned and Wellness core canned) but just dropped them due to Carrageenan scare. (I've heard it's potentially dangerous and can cause IBS or worse.).

So net net, four foods: Radcat raw chicken, Radcat raw turkey, H&G canned chicken, and Stella and Chewy freeze dried chick, chick chicken.

We never do kibble or any dry. It is harmful to cats by dehydrating them and the additives make it too carb heavy, which can lead to diabetes and/or other systematic failures. Best to avoid it completely. I've thrown all outs out, including ultra premium dry kibble. Won't even feed it to the strays.

Ps. The order is random. But I feed primarily Radcat for as many meals as possible. I use Hound and Gatos intermittently, mostly when I forgot to thaw Radcat. And I use Stella and Chewy as an occasional additional meal, for example when they kits are both still hungry for a late night snack, but I don't want to open a can.
