I have this kitten who isn't getting enough food, he also has sticky mucus coming out of his mouth he is really week and isn't eating. I don't want to lose him, he is my favorite. All I have is evaporated milk is that okay until tomorrow when I can go to the store. The store is 15 miles away. Please help me. I don't know what's wrong.

Please go see a vet.  If he has sticky mucus he needs vet care and probably will not survive without it.  One week old kittens lack the defenses necessary to fight off sickness.

Evaporated milk is not okay.  He needs kitten milk replacement (KMR). However, you will probably have to wait till tomorrow to get it as you note.  I think goat milk or even regular milk would be better than evaporated though.

Good luck :( Tiny kittens are so fragile.

Someone said this "'If commercial kitten formula is not available, a suitable feed mixture for healthy kittens is 1.6 ml evaporated milk, 1.6 ml cooled boiled water, 1 level teaspoon glucose, 1 small egg yolk (no white at all). One recommended by a veterinarian is 3 oz condensed milk, 3 oz water, 3 oz plain full fat yoghurt, 3 large or 4 small egg yolks (no whites)." So I am doing that.It is not my cat I am only 19 with no job, it's my boyfriends mom's kitten and she said it's not worth the money, so I have to make due with what I have since I have no money nor job. She just says if it dies I'll just have to pick another. I LOVE animals and don't know what I'll do if I loose him.I think he just wasn't getting enough food since he is a lot smaller.

If you have Karo syrup (clear corn syrup), take some on your finger and rub it on his gums. This will help boost his blood sugar and might help give him a bit of a boost he needs. Is momma cat paying any attention to him?

Also that recipe you posted above is just fine to use in place of KMR if you do not have access to it.

Goat milk is fine, but not regular cow milk.  As we saw, evaporated is in several home made kmr - recipes.

White Caro syrup is good to boost up energy in kittens who got weak (the weakness is often because they begin to get low blood sugar content).  Honey is also ok,  best is dextrose (=glucose sugar).

Keep him also warm.  You can keep him inside your skirt at your chest if you can. Very effective. Have an old skirt.

You can massage too now and then.

When you give him kmr/goat milk, let him lie on his tummy, head up. Looks awkward but it is the natural pose for them.

Dropper is easier for them than bottle.

Not all vets are good with kittens, but still - consulting a vet is to do here.  This with sticking mucose coming from his mouth sounds peculiar.

Good luck!

I'm not sure if they do. I just moved to Nevada with my boyfriend and his mom so I'm new here.
No the mom isn't paying any attention to him. First thing I did was to see if she would do anything since mothers know best, and she walked away from him. She is also normally really over protective and if we hold them to much she will get nervous and I took him away completely and she didn't seem to care. I don't want him getting the others sick and I want to be able to stay up with him or check on him every hour tonight to make sure to feed him. He is REALLY skinny, He looks like a newborn still while the others are fat, huge, and very mean. So I think he wasn't getting enough food, but tomorrow the owner said she will go and get kitten formula and I will be his mom... I just really hope he will be strong.
He seems to be doing better with just the food I gave him, he is breathing easier, not as much mucus, and is trying to move around more.
When he does have a hard time breathing I will rub him like they say to do with a newborn who isn't breathing.
I am not one to just let something die, as a kid I'd take in every hurt animal I could and fix it up, so I am hoping all those years of saving lives will pay off....

It's unfortunately not uncommon for moms to abandon kittens who they think are not going to make it. What do you mean that the other kittens are mean (I am having a hard time conceptualizing 1 week old kittens being mean- in my experience all they do is sleep and nurse),

The most important thing it to keep him warm.  You should be feeding him at least every 3 hours.  I read you are doing it every hour and while that is great it is probably not really sustainable.  You will also need to help him urinate and defecate. Good luck.

There is this one male kitten who is the biggest of the group and will push the two small ones away so he can steal their spot, every time I tried to get the sick one to eat they would steal it. (They are just not very sharing) I kept him in my room last night wrapped up and I checked on him ever hour to make sure he was still breathing and I fed him once last night, but around 4 I woke up to check on him and he wasn't doing good at all and he passed away... I hated not being able to help him, I feel like useless...  But, the other 6 are all good and healthy...
