I need a list a huge list something affordable not like that iams prescription diet because its nearly 20 bucks for just 12 cans :\  she would need at least 30 supply that is probably 50 bucks a month and i have 2 cat mouth to feed.

I need something that is affordable like where i could buy 24 in bulk cause thats manable.

Right now i'm saving up for a culture cause i spend so much on vets this month good thing i still have catfood.

but i really need something that actaully helps her water intake before has another one where i would have to take her to the ER i hate doing that :\

It would probably be best if you googled them yourself. We have no idea where you live and what your budget is.

What RX food did the vet suggest? I know that pro plan and friskies both have a urinary health formula. I don't know if these would work for Candie or not.
You could also try explaining to the vets office that you can't afford to feed the RX diet daily and see if they can suggest something more affordable.
Switching to all canned will help her get more water. You can add some water to the food for each meal. It seems likethat is what you are planning to do already.
The pro plan is $0.85 for 3 oz here and the friskies special diet is $0.53 for 5.5 oz
Calvin is picky but I bought some of the pro plan and he really liked it. He will eat friskies and someone on here suggested the special diet. I bought a few cans of the turkey pate and he ate it. My vet hasn't suggested a diet plan for him yet but I will ask about other options when I talk to him next week.

Friskies Special Diet is surprisingly good, ingredients-wise. Looks better than any of the prescription diets, really. There's only a little rice, no other grains. You can feed some of that and some of another, grain-free brand, just to bring costs down a bit.

Whatever you feed, mix in some extra water--as much as she'll tolerate. Getting enough water is very important in preventing urinary issues.

is friskies that good? where do you acutally buy these things? is it ok to mix in with high quality food like let her have this for 3 days in a row then treat her with a rabbit/lamb/whatever grain free food? or do i have to feed her this every single day for it to work?

Well, here's the ingredients for Friskies Special Diet Turkey and Giblets:
Meat by-products, water sufficient for processing, turkey, poultry by-products, poultry giblets, brewers rice, salt, guar gum, potassium chloride, added color, carrageenan, calcium phosphate, taurine, zinc sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, Vitamin E supplement, ferrous sulfate, niacin, manganese sulfate, calcium pantothenate, Vitamin A supplement, copper sulfate, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, Vitamin B-12 supplement, biotin, folic acid, Vitamin D-3 supplement, potassium iodide

Here are the ingredients for Iams Veterinary:
Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Chicken, Brewer's Rice, Whitefish, Chicken By-Product Meal, Dried Egg Product, Dried Beet Pulp, Calcium Carbonate, Fish Oil (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Potassium Chloride, Brewer's Dried Yeast, Taurine, Tricalcium Phosphate, Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate [source of Vitamin B1], Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride [source of Vitamin B6], Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement [source of Vitamin B2], Folic Acid, Menadione Dimethylpyrimidinol Bisulfite [source of Vitamin K3]), DL-Methionine, Salt, Choline Chloride, Minerals (Zinc Oxide, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Potassium Iodide)

Well, Iams IS better than other prescription foods. But you can see that the ingredients aren't very different from Friskies. So if you need to cut costs, feeding the Friskies sometimes is a good way to do it. I've seen Special Diet everywhere that sells regular Friskies. Walmart, Petco, Petsmart, etc. You have to look for it specifically because they don't put it separate. I have accidentally bought it when meaning to buy regular Friskies, so it's not obvious that it's Special Diet at first glance.

Now, if you're just looking for a regular canned food that's not specifically formulated for urinary issues (because any wet food will be better for urinary problems than any dry food, especially if you add water), Evo 95% and By Nature are some of the more reasonably priced grain-free foods.

A lot really depends on her. Some cats with urinary issues will immediately get better when they get more water into them (by switching to canned food--any canned food). Some are harder to manage. It'll take a little trial-and-error until you figure out what she needs.

I guess it would depend if there are lots of fruits and veggies or other carbs in the grain free. It can cause changes to urine pH from what Ive read. I feed higher end mixed in with cheaper brands to cut costs for feeding 4 cats. Calvin is just picky and rejects many higher end options. The ingredients to friskies is comparable to Rx diets if there are no special ingredients to dissolve crystals which are temporary diets anyways. The mineral load is also the same and formulated to be lower like RX diets.
I haven't used this long term obviously so I cant share a personal success story, just that it was recommended to me and Calvin will actually eat it.

I bought it at pet smart but willowy said it is available at Walmart and other places that sell friskies. The label says special diet but other than that it looks identical to other friskies cans.

If you can find Hound and Gatos Canned food, it is the best quality available, and lowest price for a ultra premium canned food. It also has no carrageenan, which is a huge benefit for the cat's health.

Bravo raw frozen is another affordable premium option. For UTI the raw food is best.

There's a much cheaper option if you're willing to make it yourself. The recipe is on www.catinfo.org and its pennies per serving but the very healthiest possible option.

I had a bad experience taking a cat off rx and putting him on Friskies special diet.  I would look into the possibility of keep the cat on the rx but seeing if dry would work.  I have had nothing but good results with the science diet dry.  Obviously canned or a decent raw would be ideal.

Did you find out if the cats urine ph?  I found out my cat was very high and needed to be more acidic and found vitamin c helped(if your cat is to acidic and you try vitamin c this could kill her)

The dry would be 50 for a month?  that was my suggestion.  At least being a girl your chances are good that even if she gets sick again she can recover.  The boys block so much easier.
