Well im very new to cats. I usually rescue dogs from the pound that cant find a home n time. So to keep them from getting put down I rescue and train them. Sometimes I keep them or find them a new home. But while I was visiting n Savannah I found a kitten under my best friends rv. She was crying and her eyes wasn't even open yet. But she touched my heart and I got her some kitty bottles and replacer milk. When she did open her eyes I was the first thing she saw. I was going to get her good enough so she could go to the humane society but the night before I was going to take her she was playing with my socks and it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen so I named her Mr.Mittens at the time not knowing she was a girl so dont judge me. And now she is a joy n the family. My little girl loves her. But being new to this I have no idea what to do. I've never had a cat. So I'm hoping to get some help. But this is the beginning of me (Mickey) & Mr.Mittens. stay tuned

Hi and welcome to TCS! Thank you for rescuing Mr. Mittens, and yes, cats do melt your heart somehow. I never planned on having a cat either, but I do. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. There's also a great articles section which has a lot of basic info on cats.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  Bless you for rescuing Mr. Mittens.  DH's rescue kitten Louie turned out to be a Lucy (adopted by my Mil).  The vet thought she was a "he".  I guess anybody can get it wrong from time to time.
