Also, one was dead.  It was much bigger than the other but was not moving or breathing when I discovered them.  I think Macy is having contractions again right as we speak but no pushing as of yet.  I feel, I think, another kitten in the lower part of her belly but I don't feel any movement.  Also, should I wait until she is all done having them to take the dead one out or should I do it now??  I don't want to stress her out.  I'm so nervous for her.  I'm staying up now and staying with her from here on out.  I have NO idea what I'm doing.

Okay, I felt a slight movement when I was rubbing on her belly.  This is her first litter and LAST.  No, I did not do this on purpose.  Yes, I'll be getting her spayed as soon as possible along with her babies when possible.  Yes, I've let others know that there are kittens on the way and I think there will be homes for all of her babies unless she has a bagillion.  She doesn't seem to be too distressed but I don't know.  She didn't yowl when she had the kittens either and so far has been pretty  silent throughout this whole ordeal.  I am a worry wart.  She's eaten a little bit and drank some water and went back to her box.  I've never done this before though, so I feel like an idiot.  (Yes, I already feel like an idiot firstly because she is having babies)  I do have a vets emergency number and number.  I don't want her to start stressing out if I take the stillborn(I'm assuming it was from everything that I've read and what not also assuming it was her first because it's huge compared to the other one) out.  I'm horrible with words too.

If she seems to be doing OK, as you describe it, you dont need to panic, you can wait and see. But continue to observe!  They can have pauses.

Is she nursing and taking care of the alive kitten?

Does she try to take care of the dead kitten?

If she visibly doesnt care about the dead one, I think you can take away it. Let her see you are doing it.

If she recognizes it is dead, it is a stress moment by itself for her to have it in the nest.  They usually either carry away the dead (and often the dying too) or eat up it.

Good luck!

She is nursing and licking the newborn.  Sleeping as of now.  No new kittens yet.  Although, she's been licking her belly and hoohah off and on so I'm thinking she'll have another here pretty soon.  I guess I'm just a little surprised on how this is going along.  I've watched some videos and the cats seemed to be very vocal about it and Macy isn't.  She's a talker too.  Seems a little strange to me.  Thank you for the info!

Had to grocery shop and then stay with my kids downstairs. Checked on Macy and still just has the one kitten. Thought I could feel at least one in her belly. She was acting like she was having contractions this morning and licking down south. Seems okay though? Still purring.

My boyfriends cat didn't make any noises either she just did little grunts when she was pushing but other then that she wasn't very vocal either. I also read that in between babies it can take a couple of hours just depends on the cat. Someone told me how his cat had a baby on Friday, another on Saturday, and another on Sunday. So I don't think you should worry.

Well, I'm about to take Macy and her baby to the vet to see if what I am feeling is what I'm feeling and what not.  I think she has one that isn't moving down really low and I think she might have one that is kind of moving but not sure.  I don't want to poke around.  I've only been rubbing her belly and then I pet her on the sides when she is standing up.  Sometimes she acts fine and then other times she acts like she's in pain.  Went in this morning and she greeted me with lots of meows and wide eyes.  Wish me luck!  (She hates change, so this is going to be very interesting....hope it isn't too stressful on her)

No more babies. Just an infection.:). Made appointment for shots for the little one in six weeks. We are going to keep her. Now, just need to figure out a name. Oh and we are also waiting until kitten is weaned for the spay for Macy that is long overdue.:)

Yes, I believe she did. They gave her a shot of penicillin and I am going to keep an eye on her for the next three days and if she doesn't seem better, off to the vet again.
