my sister went on a vacation and left Sammy (her Schnauzer) with us. Him and my mittens always play lately however he is very rough on her the other day she meowed really loud and when I went to check on them he had her by the neck with his teeth. Long story short I went out and when I came back i saw my mittens ear and she had a scratch like mark on her ear with blood. I am sure Sammy bit her ear. Idk who let mittens out from my room and I feel horrible! I cleaned it off but she won't let me touch a little part and idk if it's dry blood or a piece of her ear. It's not super bad but I am worried. What should I do? Will she grow her little hair back? Or will it be like a scar? Please help! And sorry this is long.

Oh, poor baby! I'm glad her injury wasn't more serious. I bet it was awful to see her held by the neck like that [emoji]128550[/emoji]
When my once stray Sammy wouldn't let us handle him yet, he got into fights and came home with small splits in his ear many times. They all healed up and now you can't tell that the cuts were there. They would scab over for about a week. The fur on the backs of his ears grew back in, too, although it's a little thinner in those areas of you look closely. It's probably not even noticeable to anyone but me.
On the other hand, my once stray Bob has splits in her ears that are permanent. Judging by the size of them though, I think the cuts must have been pretty darn big.
Maybe a tiny bit of Neosporin on the spot will keep the edges moist and help it to grow back together cleanly. If you do it while she's sleeping, it has a chance to do some good before it gets cleaned off.
