Well such a lot has happened in the last week, we started giving the babies food last week, I got a 100g container of Tesco's chicken and rabbit pâté, of which I gave them a quarter of it mashed up with some water, 4 of them took to it immediately the other 2 weren't so keen. I had feed Ginny a few minutes before putting the kitten food down, and she did attempt to try and muscle in and eat it, but after telling her no a couple of times, she left the pen and watched from the outside.
So I feed them the same amount again the next morning and again at tea time, and by now the other 2 were eating as well, afterwards I gave the some goats milk too and Ginny fed them too.by the weekend they were having a whole 100g container in one meal. Yesterday morning I did 2containers between the 6 of them. Now I had noticed that Ginny wasn't suckling them as much and I was getting a bit concerned, it was as if she was keeping out of their way. but lo and behold this morning after feeding them all and having saucers of goats milk Ginny came and sat in the middle of the floor and all the babies snuggled upto her and suckled.

Now we had been containing the babies in the playpen which had been getting increasingly difficult, as 3 of them had learned how to climb up the netting and get out when we didn't have the blankets over the top, which were pegged on. Well when I got home yesterday from work, I ha an obstacle course to climb to get in the living room as hubby, youngest daughters fiancé and eldest daughter had completely kitten proofed the room and the kittens were running free. It was so comical watching them running and bouncing around playing with each other and the toys. NowI have discovered that they have a thing for my feet and ankles and I am now covered in so many scratches it is unbelievable. I have also developed and old women's shuffle, hahaha so scared in case I accidentally tread on them, I now slide my feet along the floor instead of lifting them.
Litter training is going quite well, we do still have a couple that won't pee in the tray yet, but as soon as I catch them crouching I pick them up and put them in but usually I'm too late.

Well that's the latest news about the family, will do another write up at the weekend.
