My cat has been scratching himself recently and sometimes the scratches bleed. This is mostly on his head (chin/cheeks/ears). He definitely doesn't have fleas as we just finished a six-month treatment for them and I regularly trim his claws so they're not too sharp. I've read that cats can over-groom themselves if they're too bored. Do you think that's what's happening?
