My cat is missing, I'm in Malaysia

Hi all, I've just found this website as I was looking for a forum shared by cat lovers alike.

My beloved beloved cat, Tempang, went missing on the night of 19th May 2013. I was just wondering if anyone else here is Malaysian / stays in Malaysia and has experienced such a thing (their cats went missing) and if so, did they return?

I've read many stories on the web bout cats returning home/ being found but I think many of these cases were written by cat owners outside Malaysia. Not sure if there are as many strays there as there are here...

We rescued Tempang when she was 4 months old. She was limping at our house compound. Since then she's been a beautiful part of my family. Our first ever pet. When she went missing 9 days ago, she was a year old. Spayed female. DSH.

We've searched, posted some flyers around, and talked to some neighbours, the regular garbage collector and I've yet to tell the regular postman.

Could u share your experiences concerning missing cats in the Malaysian scene please? Tq ;(

I'm missing my kitty in China--not quite the same country, but the same issues. Sadly, a lot of what will work in America won't work in where I am at--sure you have the same issues. Lots of strays where I live, so I'm not sure what the dynamic is when it comes to how far kitty will wander.

I think one person actually found their kitty, and even a place to buy a cat trap. Also, Missing Cat Assistance Yahoo group has some great general information on finding a missing cat. I suggest signing up and downloading files from there.

Check out this sticky at the top of the SOS forum, Tips for Finding a Lost Cat. Some of the suggestions will be specific to the U.S. or Canada, but there are also a lot of things that can be done anywhere.

I am so sad for you. I pray that you will find Tempang very, very soon. come home, Tempang. AND, please don't give up hope. Many cats that have gone missing are found even if weeks have passed. :cross:
