Ok.My neighbor(she is in the vet tech program with me) just stopped at my house and asked me if I knew of anyone that wanted a kitten.I was like "why do you have one??" she said she was visiting her dad and saw his neighbor's and it looked as if they beating on something but couldn't tell for sure.Well, just a few seconds later a kitten(it looks about 7-8 months old)came running up on her dad's porch. The couple came walking up to the porch and she looked at them and told them they may as well walk their a$$ back on over to their house. She said when they were walking back to thir house the guy said something like"well, they will go inside in a few minutes"So she put the cat in her car and told her kids to come on.
Now she has the kitten and her hubby will not allow her to keep it.She's trying to find it a home right now an I am gonna try too.I told her if she can't find anything to do with it and absolutely has to get rid of it to let me know.
I reallllly don't need another cat,but if I have to take it then I will.
I'm just hoping we can find it a good home asap.

If people don't want an animal then why in the he** do they get them if all they are gonna do is beat on it.I'm so mad right now I'm tempted to make her take me up there so I can beat the sh*t outta them.

BTW.I posted on another site too,in case you see it.

Many people have never been taught that animals have feelings too. They don't understand that they are doing something wrong. Many people that injure animals will eventually harm people too. Thank goodness there are people like you and your friend that are in the right place at the right time.

OMG! That just pi$$es me off!

I just don't understand & probably never will understand why in the world people would be like that to animals!

There needs to be more strict laws when it comes to animal abuse!

Well,I've got some good news. Our teacher at school is going to let her bring it in tomorrow so he can get neutered and hopefully find him a home.I think she is gonna let it stay at school till a home is found, which we weren't sure about cause we are just about full.Teacher also said she knew someone who was wanting an orange kitty, but they were wanting a female. She is gonna call her though and she if she would be willing to take this one since we already have it and he will be neutered.

Shell,I agree there needs to be more laws on animal abuse.Around here where I live there is no one to enforce it except the cops and you can't get them to do anything.(Trust me,I had my experience with them on something else.)

Sounds like my town...no one wants to enforce anything! God forbid if the Cops would have to do something other than drive around & give people speeding tickets!

Sorry..I know Cops do more than just that, but damn...it's time someone steps up to the plate & does something about this crap!

Good luck! Please keep up updated on the orangey babe!

LOL.That is too funny.I won't say too much about this subject cause I don't want to offend anyone, but I know exactly what you mean.

My neighbor came back over and I gave her some food, litter, and a carrier to put him in for tonight.Which I may end up just keeping him overnight cause she has a great dane that stays in a night and she's afraid the dog will try to get at the cat.And even if the cat is in a carrier that dog could bust that carrier to pieces if she wanted too.She don't know if her dog would, but don't wanna chance it,so I may cat sit tonight and take it to school in the morning.

Ohhh.Trust me the thought did cross my mind, but the bad thing is,I would be the one to go to jail, not those creeps and I have a child and kitties to look after,so I better be good, even though it's soooo hard.
I do firmly believe that people like this WILL get what's coming to them,I'd just like to be there to see it when they do.

Well, guess what.I now have the kitty.
Neighbor called a few minutes ago and her oldest daughter is apparantly allergic to cats. So,I told her to bring him on over and I would go ahead and bath him tonight so he would be nice nd clean, and she could either pick him up in the a.m. and take him to school or I would take him either way.I just don't have class there in the morning, but I don't care to drop him off anyway.

Poor thing is meowing his head off cause I've got him caged up right now cause I don't want him around the rest of my kitties. He looks vey healthy, but that doesn't neccessarily mean anything.I will get him out in a few and play with him some though.

Call your vet, explain the situation, and ask if they can volunteer a free FIV/FeLV test and neuter. They might not do both, but I wouldn't release this kitten with your cats until you verify it is healthy. If they can't help you, ask if they can refer you to a low cost or rescue volunteer vet. There are also many rescue groups out there that can help you - it's a matter of finding them. You didn't post where you live so not sure how to help there.

You're an angel for taking this boy in!

Well,I am in a vet tech program and I(or neighbor)am taking him there in the morning. We can do the tests and neuter there.Won't be any expense out of pocket on me or neighbor.

We hope we will be able to leave him at school until our next adopt-a-thon unless the lady our teacher was talking about will take him.

I just noticed that orange kitty has a hard knot on one of his sides,I'm assuming where they kicked him.Stupid fr*ggen people!!!!

I will have to be sure and tell the teacher to take a look at that in the morning.I had about calmed down till I felt this and now I'm pi$$ed all over again.
He is such a sweet cat.I can't believe anyone would have ANY reason at all to be mean to this baby.

Thanks heavens that poor kitty has come "home" to you. It's incomprehensible that people hurt a tiny helpless animal...

Well,the kitten was at my neighbor's dad's neighbor's(did that make sense?LOL)

I don't know the people and don't wanna know them, but if I did know them and they came back after the cat they would get a little lead in their a$$.

I took him to school this morning and he got the biggest cage we have.LOL.I didn't have class down there today so I don't know how he adjusted.I will have class there tomorrow though and will get to love on him some more.
