i'd have to say jam -- because i think i've only had preserves once. my understanding is that the only difference between jam and preserves is that the fruit in preserves is cut into chunks or left whole, while in jams the fruit is chopped or crushed.

Partially right, there are no pieces of fruit in jam. It's blended smooth like jelly but doesn't separate like jellly

Blueberries

Paperback or hardback book?

i believe that jam is supposed to have bits of fruit in it, is not usually blended smooth.

from Certo -- 'What is the difference between jam and jelly?
Jellies are made from the fruit juice squeezed from the fruit. Jams are made from crushed or cut-up fruit, which break up during cooking. Jams are thick but not as firm as jellies.'
-- from this webpage -- http://www.kraftcanada.com/tips-and-ideas/how-to-make-jam/faq

but, either blended smooth or with bits of fruit in it, jam is very tasty!

Throw rugs. Carpeting was invented by the devil to plague people's souls. I will never buy a house with carpeting ever again.
