I know she's in labor! (Been on this website for at least an hour!) I made her a box but she wont stay in it and when I leave her she starts fussing and making a racket, so I've decided to stay here lol. Shes been having 1 minute contractions every 2 minutes. Nonstop purring! She got on my lap and was lauing there for a little bit and then when I felt another contraction she started pushing against me. So I tried to move her to the box and she just wants to sit on me! Obviously it isn't safe for her to deliver on my lap. But idk what to do!

She has all the signs, my bf said she was running back and forth thru the house screaming until I walked in then its just been nonstop affection. Breathing faster thru contractions. Purring nonstop. Cleaning herself. Socks is usually a loner, besides the end of my pregnancy she wouldnt leave me. But other then that she usually lays in front of the door so this affection thing is new to me. She looks so miserable) : I hope this hurrys hate seeing my baby like this.

I finally got her to stay in her box, I put it on the side so she would feel more enclosed. I'm pretty positive her water broke. Happened twice and she has been nonstop cleaning herself since the second time. How much longer does she have? And how long is too long?

And how long is too long?
Difficult to say. some deliver after a couple of hours, some take longer. ...  Although I read about one who told the cat died day 3(!), and as comment said the foregoing litters she had labor two fully days "so it was her normale"...  Sounds extremely long, I myself would rush her in to the vet at very latest after day 1, and not use her in the breeding after the first litter, not with such long labors.

Anyways, contact your vet if unsure, after say 8 hours.

Cat labors are usually shorter than with humans. Althugh they may pause, and if you are sure it is a pause and she is contend, you dont need to panic.

I am glad she finally got in her box. That must have worrisome when you thought she was going she was going to deliver in your lap.

DH had one deliver on his pillow while he was sleeping on it. That man can sleep through anything.

She ended up staying in her box and had 5 baby kittens. She got tired and lazy after the first and I had to help her.
