hi recently took in a stray her name is oreo (for now). shes all healthy, just had a check up at the vet. When we got her our neighbors gave us some food and litter until we got our own. Well the old food is gone, and we bought her some new dry food. I am not sure what brand the old dry food was. We weren't sure what food to get her because the vet estimated shes just under a year so we wanted to get her food that would be ok for a younger cat and an adult just to be safe. Problem is she isnt eating much of the new food and i have no more old food to mix it with. The new food we bought is called "Before Grain Tuna". any suggestions? has anyone tried this food before?

Thanks :)

Could you ask your neighbors what they gave you? If you switch dry foods too quickly, it can cause diarrhea. Wet food is actually much better for cats so if you can work in as much wet as possible, that would be good. If you are interested in learning more about cat nutrition and its related health issues, please check out www.catinfo.org. It's written by a vet and has a lot of great info.

I like before grain but i buy the chicken one my cats love it i don.t get it much because i can hardly get to petco were its cheaper for me

and you can start feeding her wet i suggest chicken soup for the cat lovers soul, triumph, nature variety, soulistic<petco brand, wellness core.

if she does good on it don't worrie about it.
