Our Kissy Kitty

Well our Junior has done this since we raised him after his Mom was killed. He is 3 years old now and we were told that he would outgrow nursing on our lip. Here is proof that he hasn't outgrown it yet.



Anyone else's cat do this?

I've had chin and nose lickers, and Scarlett (2 years) will occasionally suckle off a soft sweatshirt (she was orphaned), but can't say that I've ever had lip nurser! Have you tried redirecting him to something else?

that is sooo cute!!! Nimby gives kisses but he doesn't actually nurse on lips.

No we haven't, we were told he would eventually grow out of it, I don't think we could redirect him to anything else as he is pretty set in his ways. His sister likes to suck on earlobes, sorry no pics of that yet lol!

How sweet! My Georgia will head butt mein the mouth until I show her my tongue piercing. She has to see it at least twice a day. She is a silly girl.

Yeah, Spike does that to me once in a while. He will start rubbing noses with me, knead my chest like mad with his paws then work his way over to my lips and start nursing from my lip I tried to redirect him to something else and it didn't work at all so I've given up on getting him NOT to nurse from my lips. Luckily, he doesn't do it very often or else my lips would be pretty swollen and sore!

I feel better knowing that I am not the only one with a cat who does this! WHEW...

(Spike and Buddy were taken from their mom at the age of 3 weeks by a boy before I adopted them. They are the only ones who would knead and nurse at me) Zebra does knead once in a while but not nurse so I am starting to really wonder if it's TRUE that cats who were taken too early from their moms are more likely to knead and nurse at humans....

My cats knead and rub noses a LOT but they don't nurse for some reason. I have had cats in the past that nursed my lip, earlobe and even my eyelid/eyebrow! lol...

he will if we don't want to give him "lip" and he still wants it. He doesn't really bite he just holds on with his teeth.

That's so cute! Mine don't nurse on my lip(s) but Max likes to lick them and Rolling Kitty bites my nose and lips to give short kisses. I think it's adorable and I'm glad to know I'm not some kind of freak for allowing it!

I never seen anything like this! Peaches will lick my chin or the bottom of my lip though.

People tell me all the time "oh that is so gross, how can you let him do that?" I just tell them that he is family, they kiss their kids don't they?

I encourage my cats to kiss when they are babies by holding a treat in my lips. Then they kiss when they grow up. I have a "nursie" in my new persian kitten (11 weeks). After she has breakfast she climbs back in bed with me and gets a wad of nightgown and kneads and purrs and leaves me with an eight inch wide circle of wet when she leaves LOL.

Thats too funny!! the only thing we get is a very sore lip!!

That is too cute. What a sweetheart. I get licked and ocasionally bitten gently but nothing like that, thats amazing. He is such cutie!!

No the kitty in my sig isn't mind. I found it on another forum and asked the person that had it if I could use it. I wish he was our kitty though he is very cute.

Oh my gosh, the pictures of Junior giving kisses is just too cute! I've never seen anything like it.
