This dream that I had (last week) is still bothering me. It was dark outside (very dark). I looked out the back door and there was a guy standing way out in the back yard (a good distance from the porch). I got scared and jerked back around the corner so he couldn't see me. Then (only a second later) realized the door was still open so I slowly reached out to close it, and look back over there and he was right there on the back steps. I don't remember what happened right after that, but I do remember running back through the house to find somebody else. Then I looked out the front door to see if he was gone and noticed that my car was gone. A few minutes later, I went out the front door and looked up the hill into my neighbor's yard (it was no longer dark). I then saw my car going across the yard against the fence (on the neighbor's side). I automatically assumed that it was him. Then I noticed that the person driving my car wasn't him - it was my grandmother (who died when I was five years old - about 20 years ago). My heart started pounding and I came back inside. That is when I woke up.

I have always felt my grandmother has been my gaurdian angel during my life. Do you think she may be trying to tell me something? Maybe warn me about something? This dream is still creeping me out.

By the way - the night after the next night, I dreamed that some guy was trying to get in the car with me. I was in the driver's seat and I kept pulling on the passenger side door to try to keep him out. I ended up getting away though. I'm not sure if the two dreams are connected or not.

What is going on with me?!

It seems to me that you have a problem in your life that you are not dealing with and your dream indicates that it is getting worse. I would deal with what ever it is and then the fear will be gone and you will see it is just a guy and nothing to fear. I think it will be easier than you thought.

I would also keep the doors locked while driving.

So far out in left field I got lost
I don't really know how to respond to this. To me it seems like a warning. Especially since you are dreaming about the same man over and over. You could be right and your Grandmother is trying to warn you about someone you know or may meet in the future

I agree with Dragonlady - it seems to me that there is something in your life that will not go away on its own.

I used to have dreams in a similar nature - only that whenever I met someone that I thought I was interested in dating, I would dream of my old boyfriend who died back in '94 and then later I would learn that this person wasnt right for me. Since I got married, I haven't dreamed of him since. I like to believe that he was warning me of the wrong people.

That is so odd, Kiwi. After my first husband died, when I was about to make a bad decision, I would find an open pack of Vantage cigarettes, his brand, in places no one had been, like in my car, bathroom, nightstand. Ever since i have been with my s/o, it has stopped.
Back to the topic, I agree that there may be some kind of unresolved problem. I had a link to a website that told the meaning of dreams, I will see if I can find it. Maybe it can shed some light on what is going on. I hope it is nothing bad.

Your post gave me the chills!
I would definitley be very careful. . . . in case it is a warning from the otherside.

I once had my dreams interpreted and I was told that in dreams a house represents youself.

If this is true then your "watcher" and the open door of your house suggests that someone is trying to become close to you (someone you are thinking of letting into your life ?). But you're not comfortable with the closeness...you're concerned that you will suffer a loss (stolen car) like you suffered a loss when your grandmother died...

Of course this is probably just drivel...but since you asked !

What is the first thing you think of when you think of these things:
A strange man (the unknown?)
An open door that should be shut (something you forgot to do, or are procrastinating about doing?)
Another man blocking your escape (feeling trapped?)
Your late grandmother (loss of safety, protection? or possibly Abandonment?)
Usually it's not the literal objects in the dream, but what they represent that are the things needing to be addressed.
Just some thoughts...

i'm not sure what to say.. i believe that it might be a warning to you that something negative might happen... please take good care and always exercise caution in everything you do, esp when you are alone.
