In a galaxy, far far away...called Illinois.
The kittens are about a month and a half now, and they've started peeing on the carpet in random spots. When I saw one about to pee in the AIRVENT, I quickly stuck him in the litter box. He ate some litter, I made him spit it out, and he got out and peed on the carpet again. His brother seems a little more controlled, but not quite.

Any tips? If we make him his own box, what litter should we use? How can you get them to stop eating litter?

Thank you!

Make sure you are not using a clumping litter. The little ones eat it (like all babies they investigate with their mouths) and it forms a ball in their stomachs.

The only way to stop them from going on the floor is to put them in the box when you see them starting to go. Keep a very shallow box close to where mama has her nest. Put a shallow layer in the box and eventually they will all get the idea. It is instinctual for a cat to bury their poo and pee. The little ones usually catch on quite rapidly.
