Flea and Worm control

Good afternoon,

I'm new to the site so hope I'm in the right spot to ask for some help!

I have a question about using Revolution and Profender together. We have 5 semi feral cats (all males, all neutered) who I treated all last year with Revolution.

I was told by the vet's office that Revolution does not kill tapeworms and I should get some Profender, which I did.

So here's my dilemma. Do I use the Revolution (which also kills roundworm and hookworms) and also use Profender to get rid of tapeworms? Since Profender treats roundworm and hookworms as well, it would be like  double dosing for roundworms and hookworms in my mind. Does anyone know if it would be okay for me to apply both at the same time?

Both at the same time could cause the cat to die from overdose of the active ingredient in both. I would only give them the Profender.

I gave them the Revolution this morning but held off on the Profender until I was sure.

I really wanted to get the Revolution on them to protect them from fleas, ear mites, heartworm,  roundworms and hookworms. 

I would really like to treat them for tapeworm as well since they are out in the fields and barns but I didn't want to chance the overdose and after reading your reply, I'm glad I didn't!
