Lazlo has a BAD scratch on his nose

I feel like such a bad kitty mommy!!!!

Lazlo had a bit of what looked like litter on his nose, and I rubbed it off. It came off easily - but it was a scab! It started bleeding kind of a lot - he kept licking and licking at it. It's up at the top of his nose. But his nose is black - and that small part inbetween the nostrils is now pink - not with blood. Has he rubbed it raw with the licking?

Is there something we should do for this? I don't want to put neosporin on it because he'll just lick it off.

aww poor little guy. You are not a bad kitty mama, you were just trying to keep his little nose clean. I don't have any advice, but as long as it stop bleeding I think it will be okay. Just make sure he is eating good because I think I read some where that cats eat by sense of smell and touching there food with there nose (or maybe i'm just crazy) and if for some reason his damange nose isn't doing it's think he might not eat.

Ouch...I have seen that happen before. Really, you just need to keep an eye on it. Make sure it doesn't get infected. Just like the paw pads, they bleed quite a bit. It should scab back up pretty quick, and won't bother him
