good day all,

i am glad to say hello on your very informative forum.

i am on a variety of forums due to my interest in many things(4x4,motorcycles,mountainbikes, etc).

but having Jovi my kitty cat i joined up with you guys to share advise and laughter.

my friend is moving house this coming weekend and i have decided to take in her ginger cat bubbles.

but i am very confident the 2 cats will get along very well, since they are both soft tempered.

Jovi my female cat (tortoise shell) is sooo small and fun loving, naughty and sneaky as you cannot imagine(although i am sure you can imagine).

but i love her to bits.

i have fed her "Hills" cat food, and "purina one" but lately i have settled with "royal canin" since she absoluetely loves it!

thus what kitty eats and is happy with, then kitty can enjoy.

i will share some photos as soon as i have taken some.

have an excellent week!

Welcome to the site!!

Have you read up on cat introductions? I'd brush up there, just in case. But sounds like the cats just may get along well and introductions would be, hopefully, easy!

Cant wait to see photos!

oooh cool thank you so much! yeah Jovi is such a sweetheart... i love the personality of cats.

i grew up with 3-4cats at my parents home, we had a huge variety of pets, 3-4ctas, 3 dogs , parrot, tortoises, fish in the pond. my sis and i LOL

luckily my folks live close by, so i pop around often, when the cats hear my bike or car they sit outside and wait. so sweet.

the tortoises are also naughty, have had them since 1994, and are lying eggs like its going out of fashion, we take them to the nature reserve when they hatch.

the parrot past away of old age recently, was sad to see her go, but such is life with pets ne, they are a constant reminder that time is fleeting and we need to ensure we know what we are doing with the time we have been given.

i will check the cat introduction page, thet is a super idea.

thanks a stack!

have a blessed day.

Hi and welcome. Good luck with introducing the two cats. I've just introduced Ruben to two kittens. I read up about cat introductions and also read other people's threads here. It was very helpful. The most common and best advice i got was go slow. It took a bit of shuffling around my house to separate everybody at first but it was well worth it. So far it has gone well for me. Sharing your life with a cat is wonderful, sharing it with more than one is even better! Enjoy!!

thanks alot!!

joh i grew up in our house when they were still building the houses around us, so we had a lot of stray cats come through our cat hotel :)

i think the 2 cats should be fine, in our house we had many cats in my lifetime, that were old and new ones came along, and old ones pass away with age and new ones come in, and we seldom had issues , in the beginning they voice their opinions to one another and they carry on :)

im gonna build some very cool cat houses etc and mount them in the house ..have very funky ideas!

thus if they are entertained , the better they will behave :)

i think a bored cat is a unhappy cat, unless if boredom is their thing which also occurs :)
