I recently adopted a cat after she had her kittens. The kittens were her second litter. The kittens were 8 weeks old. The family didn't want her. Yet they said they were keeping one kitten if it was a male. They kept one calico kitten. I think it is female. I tried to get it as a companion for Jasmine because she looks out the window at night and cries.

I think she would do better with a kitten to take care of.

I have an appointment with the vet to have her spayed and get her shots. She is two years old and has never been to the vet!

There are many kittens available. I would like to know if I adopt a kitten if she will nurse it as she still has milk. I just want her to be happy.

Yes, she probably will.  Now, if you have small kittens needing mom milk to save, sure.

(Just make sure the kittens are reasonably healthy. You dont want Jasmine having contagion from kittens you dont know their story. Whom perhaps got rejected by their mom because they were sick.)

But a good alternative is you "eat up the cake and have it still".  You do go to the vet, check up, spaying as intended and appointed.  As it must be done sooner or later.

You do adopt a not so very small kitten, adopt a young cat.  And they will have company, Jasmine and the new one young.

Most cats prefer to have a cat pal, so this way, you help Jasmine, you help some kitten needing home, and you will have less troubles you too.   A win-win situation.

IF she is spayed, and the kitten after all so little its needing milk, it can still be done.  You can give it bottle, goat milk or kmr, and Jasmine will hopefully lick it, warm it, wash it...

You did get an excellent idea here,  Jasmines Mom!

Good luck!

ps.  Possibly make the vet visit twice:  one for check up and shots, the other for spaying.

It may be much to have both vacc and spaying at the same time.
