My kitty just gave birth to 5 adorable kittens and she's doing great. My problem is I have had a couple people say she needs kitten food while nursing and others say she's fine on her regular cat food. What's everyone's opinion here should I get her a kitten food. Advice please and Thank you.

The extra nutrients in kitten food wouldn't hurt. But I don't know how sensitive her tummy is. . .now is not a good time for her to get sick from switching foods :/. The most important thing is that she gets enough food. . .and she will eat a LOT while nursing! Maybe even 3-4 times as much as she normally eats! It's a good idea for at least some of that to be wet food, too, because she needs the extra moisture to keep herself hydrated. And maybe a bit of real meat for the extra protein, if her tummy tolerates it well.

Agree. The answer also depends partly on, what her normal food is.

But of course she needs more / better quality, depending on.

Careful with changing food if she has sensitive tummy, yes...

Please describe what she has now, what you can give from now on...  So we will see if she needs additional extras.

Good luck!
