After more than 20 years living without cats because of cat allergies....

.... my hubby and I have decided to take the plunge!

We have adopted 2 cats from a good friend, who moved to the East Coast for work. The older one is 15, she thought he wouldn't resist the long plane trip and the youngest one is so attached to him that she didn't want to separate them. She had arranged for someone to drive them cross country, but it fell through... I'm did this mostly to help her out as I am allergic to cats and thought I might have to give them up if this didn't work out but I'm taking allergy shots every week and I'm already on the maintenance phase. I'm very excited, as we have been talking about getting a cat for a while now, so please keep your fingers crossed!
The one on the bottom is  2 year old girl Stella Rose and the one on top is 15 year old Simon.

beautiful kitties, and so nice of you to sacrifice yourself (allergy wise) to the kitties in need! It's much better than seeing them go into the shelter, but, do take care of yourself too! As long as those shots works, all is swell
