ok so you guys know that i was trying to transition puma to BLUE WILDERNESS grain free cat food, and I finished the transition about a week ago. when I used to feed him friskies
he used to eat about a cup a day, but now on wilderness he eats about hafl a cup per day. could this be because friskies is all full of junk and doesnt keep him full?? and WILDERNESS is very high quality so it might be satisfying him more? should I worry about this at all? he seems the same..hasnt lost any weight. he is turning 2 this august, about 10 pounds or so, and is a thai siamese.

thanks bunches:)

I think you are correct. He doesn't need as much to satisfy his nutritional needs because it has higher quality ingredients. It's higher in protein and calories too so he needs less. Unless he starts losing weight I wouldn't worry.

thank-you :) I just read the bag, it says that the recommended daily intake for a 10 lb cat would be 1/2 cup!:) yay! I was just worried because on the friskies bag it says 3/4 to 1 cup for a 10lb cat. I am happy now that my baby is getting what he needs:)

I'm glad you're relieved.

Just a point:  the recommended daily intake in feeding instructions is just that:  recommended.  Guidelines only; adjust up/down according to your cat's weight and activity level.
