Hi All

I'm new here, I was searching about pregnant cats when I passed by this site & liked how useful & helpfu leverybody is

My Cat Honey is Pregnant but I feel she took too long ..  We had a male in our house since February, but she was always fighting with him so we didn't think any mating will happen!
I was out of town & came back on March10 and saw them trying to mate, my mom told me they are ok together now!
but I didn't count for her
until Mid of April I noticed she started to become fat and her stomach started to harden
she is thin and small size so it was clear, and I'm sure since then I could notice tiiiny movements in her stomach
took her to the vet and the doctor told me "be feeling & touching her stomach only" that she will most probably give birth by the end of April or in the first week of May
It's 12th of May today & still nothing.. she became HUGE! look at the pictures
and now I can feel the kittens well when I put my hand on her, after few seconds I will feel a moving in both sides so I guessed there are at least 2, but she is very very big!
She can't even reach her stomach or her tail to clean her self, I clean her every couple of days with a towel.. she allows me to touch her tummy and massage it.

nowadays she walks slowly, eats "not too much but not little - she usually eats very little food"! but she drinks a lot of water and she always wants to stay in a room where the AC is On!
I prepared a box for her since April but she refuses to even go there! she just wants to lay under my bed or under the tables

She had given a birth before last september for only 1 kitten! she didn't become this big and she didn't look tired like now and last time she was very friendly and always wants to sleep pn my bed! I knew when she was due because I knew when did the matig happened exactly that time

I was with here when she gave birth last time, actually she was very nervous when my family (dad-sister-brother) tried to put her in the box, but when I came back from work she kept following me, I stayed with her in the laundry room where I had the box and she gave birth shrotly after and allowed me to touch her & the kitten immediatly

Oh one more thing (sorry for writing a lot) regarding her daughter which is now 8 months, the've been very close together since she gave birth to her. now sometimes she gets angry on her and sometimes she acts very normal and even cleans her fur & lick her! I try to keep them apart though specially when she looks nervous.

I'm really afraid she gives birht and have difficulties while I'm at work! (Sister & homemade are at home but I don't think they can help a lot) I too ka short leave for the last week but babies didn't come!

I took this video yesterday afternoon..

You have a very dramatic title, but the pregnancy doesnt seem to be too long as yet!

If they mated just 10 may, she has some days left before it is time to be worry.

Of course, if they mated and before, and 10th may was just some extras, it is about now...

what food are you giving her?  It is important she gets good food, esp as she doesnt eats much every time.

And yes, I agree it is best you kept her alone.  Sometimes, if they are best pals and the mom shows clearly she wants company of the others, it is OK to have them together. Even the male.

But if she reacts defensively, she wants to be alone, let it be so. Obey the mom whenever possible!

I suppose you do your reading on, and preparations?

Welcome to The Waiting Game!

Good luck!

Ps.  I see you do have your family vet.  If you arent a breeder, our recommendation is you do spay and neuter your cats. All of them, begin with the adults: the tom and the almost adult dau.

LoL.. I usually get excited when describing things sorry!

I'm worried about her cuz I work for 8 hours a day, I always have those bad imaginations about her getting in labor and having troubles while I'm not there! her first labor was so easy I didn't worried that much as I knew it was time

I'm not sure when the mating happened, I saw them on 10th of March but I don't know was there any succesfull mating the week before? or the week after? that what makes me kind of frightened

Let's just wait and see

and btw I'm in Bahrain Spaying is not very common here! I will discuss with my vet this time.
