Hey all. I recently took a little stray kitten from a friend of mine. She couldn't keep him so I took him in. They found him outside of her mom's work and he is around 3 weeks old.

He walks around a lot all wobbly like most kittens and hasn't shown any negative signs of anything I'm aware of, I raised a couple of 6 week old kittens before so I know how to litter train them and things like that, but I've never bottle fed one so young, so stimulating him is new to me.

He nurses like a champ from the little bottle we have full of kitten formula stuff and he pees every time we stimulate him with a little moist warm cotton ball. He won't drink water or formula from a saucer as of yet. My friend who was caring for him previously said they hadn't been able to get him to take from a saucer but that I should try introducing a small amount of wet food to him, which I did this evening and he ate a pretty decently sized chunk of it, but when he was done he immediately wanted formula again from the bottle.

We have yet to get kitty to poop though, is there any better way to simulate him specifically for pooping? We've only had him for a day and he has had no problem eating and peeing, and has peed on his own.

We have two other cats who are both 12 years old also, they are pretty mild mannered and we are keeping him separate from them for now. Our more social of the two has already seen him, she was sitting in the living room when we brought him yesterday and she smelled him but showed little interest. Do you have any recommendations for ways to introduce them?

Pooping yes. You or I will surely find something if you look around our site. Meanwhile a tip used by some forumites is to held them in running semi warm water... Making them poo and washing off simultaneously.  You must of course dry off him afterwards.

Introducing with your girls?  Are they used to roam outside?  Or at least, healthy and with all vaccines done?

At this point, an intro has the point if they want to take care of him. If they arent interested, better you wait a couple of weeks. He has his quarantine period, and they will help him later on being aunt and uncle, and doing some play.  This is important too for a good socialization of a young cat.

Keep reporting and asking!

Good luck!

Offer a litterbox? He may be old enough for it and is holding it until he can find a good scratchy place. Otherwise, yeah, I hold their tummies/bottoms under warm running water and that usually does the trick.
