kittens

Hi i have 2 cats and both have had a litter. In 1 litter i have three kittens there 3weeks old and theres a runt im a bit worried as the other 2 now way a pound were as the runt is only 6oz have been bottle feedin aswell as mum nursing. Seems happy and got a lot of fight in him but doesnt seem 2 be puttin weight on. He feeding well so im a bit confused as 2 why he not puttin weight on ? Any ideas . 2 me doesnt feel as skiny but no difference in weight on the scales. Plz any advise . Thank you.

What kmr do you use?  If you can get hold of goat milk, try with this. May be better! You can melt in some butter too, to get it more fatty.  If you can get hold on some nice vitamine-preparate for cats, you can surely try this too... Which, depends on your local market... Google on it, to make sure it is an ok preparate..

Has mom been properly dewormed?  If not, it may be so he has more severe worms than the bigger ones...

But with runts in never anything sure. With that big weigh diff, almost half, he lives on borrowed time. With a little  luck this time may be many years long, but may also end verry quickly and abrupt...  Just to hope, love and fight on!

ps.  Are you a breeder?  If not, consider to spay your cats as soon the kittens are weaned, say at 8plus.

Thanks alot for your help. Dont use kmr as dont provide it here bought 1 from the vets mum was wormed but is now due again. Trip 2 the vets in next couple of days hopefully thay b able to help more. Hopin he will pull through as he is a lil fighter and loves cuddles never new such young kittens could pur. Not a breeder was due 2 be spayed but came in 2 season and vet advised not 2 do so. Booked for when kitts are weaned. Will let u no how i get on at the vets and thanks again much appriciated x heres his pic taken last week.

Hey went 2 the vet 2day heart n temp seem fine no worms but gettin a wormin cream 2 prevent them. Was told he could have internal problems but he may live a long happy life and 2 keep bottle feeding. Thanks again 4 your help
