my sister has 4 cats, this one female(spayed) has started peeing on the throw rugs or on her bed, she has been checked for urinary infection and she is clear, our vet said it is a behavior problem, if my sister is home from work and can take her to the litter pan she pees, but when shes not there she wants to pee on the throw rugs or the floor somewhere, i read in cat fancy about a litter called cat attract it is suppose to attract your cat to the pan for ones that has problems with going there, have any of you heard of this and does it work i wonder??? it is a petsmart i dont know what to tell her, she got another litter pan so now she has 2 huge pans and she keeps them clean all the time, i hope someone can help,,, thanks

try changing litter brands. some cats dont like certain kinds and switching might solve the problem. also get something to clean the rugs. something enzymatic that is specifically for treating cat odor. regular cleaning will not do. i dont know specific products but someone here will, or recommend an at-home formula at least.

thanks for your response, she has used special cleaning on the rugs, we need to get a black light to see where they are, that natures remedy, i havent heard of it what is it? she is willing to try anything, this kitty wants to be the only cat in the house, but she has to share with 3 others.

You can find that cat litter at www.meowhoo.com under cat litter and yes, it works. I would wonder if it is a UTI did they draw the urine out with a needle do you know? That is the only way to really tell, to get a clean catch.

hissy, yes they got it right out of her to make sure it was a clean catch, she is a very weird little girl, she hates all the other cats she wants to be the only cat i think, if you are peting her and one of the other cats comes around she jumps them and swats at them, we love her so much but she wants to mark her territory i guess, maybe this litter will work she is going to try it.. i will let you know how it turns out
