L-Glutamine for IBD kitty?

Curious if anyone here has given l-glutamine to their IBD kitty. If you have, does it work? What kind do you buy and what is the dosage? Prednisolone and metronidazole just aren't helping much and I want to see if there are other more natural anti-inflammatories that may be helpful. Thanks!
