Hi there,

I joined this site back in 2005. I was quite active, enjoying the forum games, picture captions, and discussing cats with various folk.

Then someone mentioned a game site where you can breed virtual cats. And, as that was something I'd never come across before, and I checked it out, and I drifted away from here. That was 7 years ago tomorrow, and I was just posting on the forum there about my anniversary, (yes, I'm still there) and it prompted me to see if I could still remember my log in info.

I did find my way back here a couple of years ago, but at that time I didn't have much time to linger. But, I'll hang around this time, if you'll have me.

I named my account after my cat Ozzy, we still have him, he was a rescue cat, and had been in the Cats Protection leagues care for a few months when we found him, he was grumpy, and not terribly affectionate, one of the ladies in the center had been working with him, and was certain that he'd be ok when settled into a home, but he wasn't doing himself any favours, by taking a swipe at anyone that came to look around the cattery.

He's still not a lap cat most of the time, although he occasionally decides to come on our knees when he comes in from the cold, he won't let us groom him, but he's able to groom himself quite well, even if it does result in the occasional hairball vomiting. Especially at this time of year when he's moulting the impressive mane he grew this year.

It's almost gone already. And will end up like this soon.

This was taken the end of May last year.

So, that's Ozzy and me, I hope to get to know you all.

I'm glad I got to say Hi and welcome back before I leave for the summer. Ozzy is beautiful, what a mane! Isn't it something how some cats are so standoffish? My little female was like that, she sure kept those big boys in line! Even though she didn't like to be petted she was my favorite. Once again, welcome back!

Welcome back.  How could anybody not love a face like Ozzy's?  The definition of catitude.  Does he grow that mane every winter?

Thanks all, and yes, he does get a winter mane. This year was more impressive than ever. I think it was a reflection of the cool wet summer last year going into a cold and frosty winter. He knew he'd need a warm coat. :-)

We think he has a teaspoon full of Maine coon blood in him somewhere. Or he's just the type of Moggy that someone saw and thought would be a good idea to develop into a breed many years ago. Lol.

It was his face that won us over, we saw his photo before we met him.

Glad to meet you - I wasn't around when you originally posted.

Ozzie is absolutely beautiful! Looks like a very determined kitty -- his expression says "don't mess with me".

Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a good home.

I have added the picture with the mane to my collection of wallpapers, hope that is OK with you.
Yes that's fine by me.

And thank you all for the welcome back. He actually came on my knee twice today, it's weeks since he did that once. But today was quite cool in the house, no heating on, and not enough sun to shine in and warm us up. I was able to wear a cardigan, he obviously decided to get some warmth from me. He warmed me up too
