Some 15 years ago we had 2 cats, mum Toffs and daughter Tiggs, then one day we noticed a feral tabby cat that was sleeping under our huge fir trees.

Over several months we would leave food outside for him and on occasions when we saw him we would put down bits of chicken or beef.

Over about a year we finally got him to come into our house, from then on he became along with the other 2 our pride and joy.

Tommy was huge and never showed any fear even from dogs, we moved to thailand and of course they all came with us.

Sadly Toffs went first as she was getting on and eventually Tiggs, both died from kidney failure.

Now years later we just lost Tommy with kidney failure again, he was diagnosed some 2 years ago but with carefull feeding and towards the end regular saline drip.

Sadly in thailand being a Buddhists country they dont euthenase so I desperately tried to manage his condition.

For us it seems like the end of an era and sometimes wish we never had them neutered so we would have maybe some further family line.

Cats are such special animals to have in ones life and the loss is terrible and so hard to deal with. But I will never forget the fond memories they gave us.

Mike.

I'm very sorry about your loss. It must be like losing a piece of "home", since you took him and the others with you to Thailand.
RIP, Tommy.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, It sounds like Tommy was a wonderful member of your family. I know it hurts so bad to lose them, but you were a wonderful parent and did all you could to help in those last days, I'm sure he felt your love and gave you much in return. He and Toffs and Tiggs are all together now, and will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. They all have a special place in your heart and will live in your memories. Please don't be sad, they would not want that. Mourn, but in time remember them with smiles and happiness. If you ask, they will show you they are doing fine in the sigh of the wind and the rainbow after a rain. Take care, and may you be blessed for your kindness.
