hello!
I'm a new cat owner & can believe how much my life has changed:)

I've been living in West Africa in a city called Abidjan.
It's a french speaking country & rife with political unrest & I have been evacuated 2x already, hence why I never opened my arms to a pet. Just didn't think it was fair.

But my heart must've been more bold than my doubting mind & it called a lil white fluff to me.

Went to visit a friend of my then fiancé (now Husband), where I fell in love with a tiny infested with worms lil man, he was seperated from his mother too soon & was sticking to his much older brother like glue but cause he was so weak just couldn't keep up.
I didn't know it then.
But he crawled into my heart before I even blinked.

I literally returned the next day with a borrowed cat bag & he is now my lil man. :)
We fought hard to keep him from deaths door, because of it he is quite small but the sweetest & silly cat ever. Talks non stop with me & follows me around all day, never a moment apart & when we are there are some grand meows in protest. lol

I am very new to all of this so shall be back with a few questions as I have 3 I can think of right now.

I shall write in the appropriate forum :)
Will also post a few shots later of us.

Very glad to be here! Looking forward to meeting all of you ;)

Hello!

Thank you very much for your warm welcome!

Here are a few snaps :)

Him the day I brought him home, passed out from all the activity, so tiny in his bed:

He then stayed either on my chest or my mom's chest til he started feeling better.

Took him to a vet and she took his temperature and it was actually way below the norm so she said we better prepare ourselves. Well I wasn't even prepared to entertain that thought so I stayed with him 24 7, I took hot water bottles and put it under his bed, I filled a plastic bottle with boiling water wrapped a sock around it and kept it with him whenever he was in his bed.

Him in my lap while I was busy studying for my Uni exams.
Him with my Mom (she just came back from gym)

You can actually see his 2nd horizontal eyelids are not closing, that is apparently from the worm infestation.

He sat with me for hours while I was studying in my final year, and when he decided that I needed a break then The Pen that I was currently using was the pen he wanted. No other pen, only the one that I needed. hahaha! My first introduction to cat behaviour and I am constantly flabbergasted. They are just THE most amazing creatures I have ever come across. We always had dogs, I never knew it... but I'm a definite cat person.

He just knows how to brighten up a bad day, turning tears into giggles within 1 minute.

Here is a pic with him as a toddler in my study chair, not allowing me to sit down and being totally innocent in the process.

He is an inside cat, but I let him outside for a poke & stalk around which he LOVES, I think because when I found him he was outside, so that part developed within him, and he adores rolling around in the dirt and sun. But always comes inside when I walk inside.

He has been snipped, so no issues there.

Him totally in aware of the lizzard/salamander.

Now him all grown up & in total cat dream world. Now to big for is bed :p

I have a few questions that I will post soon with more information but here is the jist:

1) Hairballs

2) Separation Anxiety & super active --> need a friend?

I think I had more... lol Fish Brain today.

That's it!

Chat to you all soon soon!
