I am a breeder of Himalayans usually. But my maincoon got out her room and mate with my male him. She s at day 60. I know this as I know the day she got out of her room the only time she could of mated. My other litters were way different then this one. Mom is very sleepy for a few days now. Still eats a lot, soft bowel movements. She seems to follow everywhere for the past few days. No discharge or milk. Though my himis never do. Still movement inside. As of last night she finally went in her nesting box started scratching. Hasn't been in since. Otherwise acts normal. Any idea as when labor might be coming. With my himis is is almost always around 58 60 days. My maincoon is just acting s different then I am used to.

Your himis are unusually early.  In most other cats it would be premature, barely on the verge to survive with lotsa of active owner assistance.  If it is himis who are early overall, or your lineage who are early, I dont know.

Anyway, be prepared other cats may behave partly differently...

Welcome to the waiting game!

I presume your MCO is otherwise healthy?

Good luck!

My Himis lineage is the carrier of the early birds. I have never had any problems with them. I have been a breeder of show himis for six years now. My Maine Coon is very healthy thank goodness. She is huge compared to my himis in pregnancy. The only assistance I have had to do in the past is with the actual births. My one mom has never removed the thin sac over them or cut there cords. Other then that I don't or haven't had to get involved. I am not liking this waiting game :) keeping me up at night waiting to hear the cry lol.

My maincoon is day 63 today. Still no signs of labor. Eating like crazy, very tired as she has been for a week
K. Very little nesting, doesn't like belly rubbed, no pink in nipples or milk. Don't think she is ever going to have this litter :(

Maybe your off on the date she conceived then, even vets arent a be all end all on a due date! I was a week and a half off!!! Dont worry shell have em! Enjoy this time cuz its stressful having kittens. Maybe read my thread it may solve/answer some questions. My cat didnt nest much either she just more like the cave type appeal of the new box i made her. Her nipples were very pink though, no milk...not even on the day she delivered. Actually it took about an hour after deliverimg her last kitten for her milk to drop...just breath anf have everything you could need, including kmr and bottles. GOODLUCK, keep me posted

I know the day she conceived as she only had one day of being anywhere near the male. It is now day 65 and nothing:(. Nipples are not pink but she is huge . Still a little nesting. Sleeps all day eats a little every few hours. Babies are not moving nearly as much. And she is walking bow egged. Having a hard time getting around. Hoping it is soon, as she is worrying me.

Rather it be a long labor then early seeing as most kittens born early wont make it! After 70 days, its def time for a vet visit. Most ppl on here have had cats whose kits were born at 67 days...inc mine. I feel like thats the perfect time

I agree with Lala3.  Prolonged labor is not good, but so is a too short pregnancy.  Kittens are not good at surviving premature births.  Humans are much better at it.

Day 66. Still nothing :( her tummy feels harder for some reason and it may have dropped, har to be positive. Still eating and still very little nesting. She plays like a kitten at times then sleeps. She seems to get up walk a few feet then lay down and take a nap then be up about half hour later and wlk a few feet and go to sleep again. My husband said to give up thinking she is going to have them anytime because then she probably will ave them lol.

Are you sure of the dates?  I was super nervous about my cat, and she gave birth 65 days after the last day she bred (not the first, so she would have been something like 68 days total).  And she had a big litter - 6 kittens - so maybe it was a longer duration to let the multiples grow a bit bigger.

If you're really nervous, call the vet and see if she should be seen.

I am counting the day after she breed. Today she s nesting more. But still eating as usual. Was sleeping all day but now she s running through the house like a razy cat. When she was going in and out of her nesting box she was making light meow sounds. Hope it's soon. This staying up at night to check on her is making me crazy :)

As I understand it, it can take up to 3 days for the eggs to implant. . .so she's still not very overdue. I'm sure it'll be soon!

Wow! Today she is sooo lovey. She won't leave my side. My Himis are always lovey so this pregnancy is so different. She is sleeping on my lap and her tummy has dropped a lot to what it was yesterday. Hopefully today or tonight:) when I mate my himis they usually deliver about 12 hours after I notice the dramatic difference in the dropping of there tummy. :)
