I have spent over a year getting a feral cat to trust me. I have been very successful with Clipper and his friends. It is obvious someone in my apartment complex has taken these cats to get fixed. They all have clipped ears. I have fallen in love with one who I have named Clipper. We now have a special bond and he trusts me. He loves to eat, of course, and loves to be petted and his belly scratched. It has taken me over a year to get to this point. Unfortunately, I was laid off from my job and now have to move. I tried putting Clipper into a cat carrier but he flipped out. It was going to be a long drive to my new place and I couldn't bare having him so frightened so I let him out. Now I regret leaving him there and I am really lonely without him. I just don't know if it is the right thing to do.....taking him away from his original surrondings and all of his sibblings that he had grown up with. He is about 2 years old.
Do you recommend me trying to bring him home again? I asked a couple in the apartment complex to look after him but it takes alot of time for him to get comfortable with someone and I know he loves me!
Any suggestions?
