Good day everyone! New member here. Thought I'd say hi!
I am very fortunate to have in my life a domestic shorthair, named Bruce. He is a sorcerer's kitty -- all black -- and he is a darling little beastie who happens to think he is a dog (he is very friendly to anyone he meets, wags his tail a lot, and has all the grace of a basset hound).
Bruce just turned 1 last month. He was a stray that wandered into someone's backyard when he was only a few months old, deciding the whole "foraging for food in really cold Canadian winters" business was not his style.
Through some local shelters he found his way to the Petland near my house, where I instantly fell in love with him, and adopted him (last Septembe)r. He loves sleeping in, being carried around on shoulders, and digging holes in piles of dirt. He has also recently dicovered the fine art of "pretend you swallowed the pill until they let me go, and then foam at the mouth like you're rabid", which has definitely brought a new level of excitement into the house. We are hoping that habit fades away like his kitten stripes did.
Anyway, nice to have found a group of fellow cat lovers!
