My daughter gave me a 4 month old kitten on Jan. 18th as a belated Christams present. Lucky was an indoor/outdoor kitten that was left by his mom and wandered into my ex's yard. He's had stool problems since I adopted him. He's had chronic diarrhea for close to 6 weeks andhas been through 4 weeks of Alban and 14 days of a strong diarrhea. He was put on a diet of venison and green peas but didn't like venison so I changed it out for rabbit and green peas but at 66.00 for 8.8 pounds and being disabled I can't afford to keep Lucky. However, I've researched the computer and found that the salmon and green pea is a lot cheaper. The vet thinks Lucky is allergic to grain and I'm thinking poultry too. However, I was going to have to give him away because his stool was formed on the green pea and venison and green pea and rabbit. So I'm going to PetSupplies Plus store here in Raleigh, NC to buy a 10 pound bag of salmon and green pea dry food and since it's only 19.98 instead of 66.00 for less than 10 pounds I will be able to keep Lucky.) So for those of you have a kitten or cat with chronic diar4rhea and they don't have worms try the salmon and green pea diet because even kittens can be on it and granted it is a prescription diet it is a lot cheaper than the venison, rabbit and duck diet with green peas. You can also by treats that are freeze dried salmon with no preservatives. It will save you lots of money from vet visits and medications. Lucky loves fishe so he'll eat the salmon and green pea dry food. His stools are firming up so no more chronic diarrhea!!! Just wanted to share my story of Lucky his gassy self and chronic diarrhea to help others so that you don't have to go through so many vet visits and don't need to buy outrageously expensive food. BJ
