My cat is about a year, and got pregnant, totally unplanned! She has been pregnant for about 6 weeks, and showing all the symptoms! Her nipples are long, and alot bigger than before, but no milk yet!! She is HUGE and still growing! She just started putting her butt into the air like she did when she was in heat. Is this normal? She is very affectionate, which she wasn't before the pregnancy! constantly rubbing on things, and yesterday when coming home from work she looked wet from the middle of her stomach, all the way to behind her tail. There was no water or liquid that could have made her soaked like she was. Can cats waters break? First cat to have kittens so Addi (my cat) and i could use some help!!

There is about a week time frame when my cat, Addi could have concieved!! There is dry, flakes around her nipples which looks like dry skin? I havn't felt any movement, but she is long hair calico so it is hard to tell. I have a nesting place set up for her, and this is both of ours first litters!! need help/ advice!! Her privates are looking swollen but no discharge! She is huge and belly is almost to the ground. Very lovable! Im super excited!! The waiting is hard because i want to be there!! Any advice would help!!

I went out of town and let a friend cat sit! Her male cat (which i didnt know she had) got my cat pregnant! Totally unplanned! Addi was over there for exactly a week. Starting from March 15th until the 22nd! She is already so big her nipples are really long and big, and she has been laying in her box that i made for her for the past 2 days. From what i have read online, it is too soon. However, she has already shown signs that it could be any day.

If she got pregnant the first day, she's only 50 days along. . .she has 2 more weeks to go! Or even 3 more weeks if she didn't get pregnant until later in the visit. Are you 100% sure she wasn't around an intact male before that? Kittens do not survive if premature so hopefully she doesn't go into labor before her time :(. But sometimes cats can really look like they're about to burst for 2-3 weeks before birth, so she just might be one of them. I don't know what the wetness could have been. Are you sure she didn't spill her water dish?

I'm positive!! It's so hard to tell because this is her first litter! She had never been outside or left my house since she was two weeks old! (I found her outside) so I'm positive it was in that time frame! As for spilling we water dish, I checked to see if that was it and it was still full!! I have no idea what it could have been. She's been licking her privates non stop for the past two days. Does that mean anything?

I hope it will be her last litter too ;). It's so much healthier for them to be spayed and also that way she won't adding to the unwanted kitten problem any more.

Hmm, if she acts like there's a problem, a vet visit would be a good idea. Too much licking can mean something is wrong, so keep an eye on that. Of course she needs to keep herself clean, so some licking is to be expected. But not too much. . .and sometimes it can be hard to determine what "too much" is. But a call to the vet is never a bad idea, and calls are free. They can tell you what to look for, and what constitutes an emergency and what's normal. Your vet should be your best friend whenever dealing with a pregnant pet!
