I just bought my kittens a "catnip" rat, a furry mouse with a bell on the end of its tail, and 2 fat mice also equipped with bells. Jenny is a huge fan of the smaller mouse and Arch has developed a love of catnip and his new friend the rat. So my question to all the fellow cat owners: what toys does/do your cat(s) enjoy the most?

Chasing the laser pointer around the room is always a fav, but try this: Place a tiny bit of meat somewhere in the middle of the room. Then, have your cat chase the laser light around the room for several seconds before stopping it right on the bit of meat. When your cat pounces on it, turn off the light. The cat will think he's caught and killed his prey, and will savor devouring it. Does wonders for the feline ego.

My three like their tunnel, and play with a lot of different toys hung on their trees.  Two of them like the wand type toys.  All three are not interested in catnip....maybe when they are older???  The hands down favorite......is the really cheap little plastic springs.  I find them in the bed, under the couch, in the water bucket.....Gideon carries them with him.

This is actually a really good idea since my cats will grow up to be mousers!
