My cat Saleam is about 41/2 years old, and she loves going in and out the bedroom window. Last night she hit the window bumping the brace to keep it open and it slammed on her tail....she seems fine except her tail will not stand like normal and there is blood. I am very worried, and don't have the money to take her to the vet right now! Can someone please tell me what I can do? Thank you in advance

Welcome! Poor Saleam. It sounds like the window might have broken the tail. :dk: Cats use their tails to keep their balance and express their moods. Their tails look flexible, but they can be broken just as easily as other body parts. A cast cannot be used on a cat's tail, so you can only treat the cat for pain and inflammation. I know you said you don't have money for a vet, but your cat should see the vet to make sure there was no nerve damage done which could cause other problems down the road. Most vets have CareCredit available. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

yes please take her to the vet.  Care Credit is great.  Find a vet that honors it.  She must be in a lot of pain.

Modt vets will also let you pay over time. They too the to see a cat in pain and will work out something. I would take your Kitty asap. Good luck!! Hope she will be fine!
