Any opinions on this food?  I was looking for a replacement for California Natural, and this was recommended as being a good quality food from a good, reputable company.  I got a small bag and they seem to like it, I don't see any ingredients that raise any red flags for me, but thought I'd run it past you guys.

The fact that it's corn and wheat free looks good to me.  I's so used to looking at canned food though, that the ash maximum looks high to me.  I'm used to looking for no more than 3%, so am wondering if on kibble it's different.  If not, that seems extremely high
.  Also, can you call them and find out about the % of carbs.  They, naturally, never but THAT in their guaranteed analysis.  I think that's one of the most important things of all.  It really needs to be low carb, and the rice and potato will effect that, just don't know how much.

Hoping that some of the expert will see this thread now that I'm bumping it and chime in

Fromm is one of my favorite brands along with acana. There's a store by my house that will only sell food they trust, and that they know is the best. Fromm is one of their top sellers. I feed my cats mostly wet, but they get dry as mid day snack and Fromm is the brand I trust. I also use their wet food along with other brands in my rotation.

Oh and not sure if this helps but my 13 year old dog only eats Fromm and since I switched him too it he had been completely cured of all his allergies, and got a lot of energy back.

Sorry I haven't been back to this thread in a while, but I want to thank you both for the replies.

mrsgreenjeans -I will see if I can find out something about the ash and also about the % of carbs.  What is a good % of carbs for dry food.  They don't get only dry food and it's pretty much just at night I put some down for them to nibble on.

LucyLittleKitty -  Like you, I got this from a store that will only sell food they trust and the guy is very knowlegable.  He recommended the Fromm or Earthborn, but said the Fromm was closest to the California Natural I had been giving them.  Earthborn is grain free, and I guess they've been around a while too, but just new to this market.  They also have Acana and Orijen.  He said Fromm was a family owned company and have been in business for a long time with no problems.
