I have this girl she's around 2-3 years of age, and I really would like to know what breed she is. I got her from a Siamese female(I do not know who the father was) in a litter of 3, with 2 other white and gray tabby toms.

-She doesn't play with toys but loves playing hide and seek or running with me.

-Comes to me when I call her

-Follows me only

-Not so friendly towards strangers but is very loyal to me.

-Sleeps near my foot every night (DOES NOT sleep in my arms or on my lap :( )

-Grooms herself a lot (and also to me)

-Everyday, I see her with a mouse in her jaws

-NOT friendly with any cat, even kittens

-Lives and plays with my Pom/Shitzu mix

-Has never clawed me until i feel pain, even when playing.

I'm pretty sure she's a Torbie, but maybe not.

sorry bout the hair >_>

Was the mother a purebred Siamese, or a pointed cat of unknown origin? I will say that she has the "pointy" look of a modern Siamese. But the father must have been red, not pointed, because if both parents are pointed the kittens will be too. He was most likely a domestic shorthair, no breed. So if you know her mother was a purebred Siamese, you can tell people she's half Siamese, half "traveling salesman" :lol3:.

I would call her color/pattern calico. But she does have tabby markings in her dark spots, so that's different than most calicos. I don't know if that's enough to call her a torbie, though. She's very pretty.

Thank you! :) The breeder said it definitely is a siamese, and yes, it is pointed (Here is a video of the mother:   ).

I live in Thailand, and it's very likely the father must've been a shorthair. There are two cats in my whole neighborhood (excluding my cat), 1 is a gray tabby and another is a orange tabby, both a tom and shorthaired. I would bet the father was the gray, because that cat used to come ask my house for food, when we still hadn't got a house cat.

I really dont know what to think though, I mean calicos are white cats with small spashes of orange and black, right? And little kitty here without the white and I would call it a torbie. Does this mean it's a torbie WITH white? BUT I am still new to cat breeds, so I'd guess you'll be getting the right answer long before me :)

What breed is my cat? I dont know whether she's a torbie or a calico. We got her from our Siamese 'pointed' cat. The father we're not so sure, but we think it comes from a shorthaired gray tabby tom that used to ask our household for food. Either that or a shorthaired orange tabby tom roaming our garden frequently.

The mother

The father must have been the orange tabby, unless the mother has orange points. Because a calico/tortie/torbie needs to have one parent with the black gene and one with the red (orange) gene.

What a pretty one she is! I would call her pattern "torbie and white". She probably got the "and white" part from her mom, who has white feet. Then with her dad being a red tabby, she gets red plus brown tabby on the X chromosomes, making her a tortie tabby. She's carrying her mom's points as a recessive gene, covered up by her dad's solid colors. If she had gotten out before she was spayed and mated with another point carrier, about a quarter of her kittens would have been pointed.

Wow really interesting mixture and pattern. I have never seen a cat like that before. Very pretty, maybe a breed foundation haha
