outdoor activities

When you go outside where do you go  for the day ? Softball games with the kids/grandkids, park, a movie, shopping for the day then lunch ?

Bike riding,walk the dog ? What do you enjoy doing when you go out ? It could be gardening, boat ride or just sitting outside on your deck

Today we went to softball practice with our granddaughter who is 12. She did pretty good. I am so proud of her.

I'm not at all an outdoor person.  My idea of getting back to nature is opening my apartment window.  I like the fresh air, but at the same time I like the comfort of being cool, so I keep my windows open a few inches and I run the air conditioning.

I sit outside for about 10 minutes at the end of work waiting for my ride, but that is usually the extent of my time spent outside other than walking from building to building or to car while shopping.  I even hate to eat outside because of the bugs. I don't mind food grilled outdoors, but I want to sit in the comfort of an enclosed space to eat it.
 

Where do we go? Outside to the back yard. We tend to spend a lot of time working in the garden and the flowerbeds. We have 1-1/3 acres, so there's always lawn to mow. We also have an in-ground pool in the back yard, so we tend to spend a lot of time around the pool. We like to entertain a lot, too, so we do quite a few picnic-type dinners with friends and family. I love being outside.

This summer we'd like to get some kind of a fire pit. We used to camp quite a bit and we miss having a campfire.

Fire pits are the best.  I have even had a few neighbors stop by to talk when we have it going.  I hate the sun(and it hates me back by the evil sunburns I get from just driving in car.  I walk the dogs at night and that is the extent of my outside time besides doing fires.

Used to go to the dog park often but puppy got injured(not at park) and can not play like that anymore Miss the people I met there.
 

We go to the backyard mostly.  The kids have a swing set and some other outdoor toys. And they like to play with the kids from next door who are similar in age.  I have a small garden and keep some potted things on the patio too.  We planted new trees this year so I'm out watering those regularly.  There is a walking trail near us but I haven't been in a while.  DH and I also like to go walk on the beach if we get a date night out and head down that way.  It's been a while since we did that.

I never have been a sun person. The closest I get to outside is usually on my screen porch. Sometims I go out back and sit in the clover with my cats.:lol3:

I used to participate in a lot more outdoor activities like boating, fishing, skiing, bicycle riding, etc.  At 65, with arthritis....my "athletic" activities have been curtailed.

My favorite outdoor activity now.......this is going to be a big surprise.....riding my Harley.
