I'm trying to add more variety to my cat's diet. She is 100% wet food.

Is switching between brands but not flavors considered a change? For instance, will feeding Wellness brand chicken and Halo brand chicken create enough of a difference that she won't get bored?

I'd also like to know about feeding fish flavors. It seems most brands will have chicken, turkey, beef, and an army of fish flavors or combinations of fish plus chicken/beef. My kitty had a UTI last year, so I normally stay away from fish altogether. I'm wondering, though, for variety, is it safe to throw in a fish flavor for say 3 days out of the month (approx. 4 meals, as one can lasts more than 1 meal for me)?

I had a similar question last week. I ended up deciding that I could still give them plenty of variety without risking the fish.  Besides the plethora of chicken, turkey, and beef that's available, I also give them:  Before Grain Quail & Chicken, Nature's Variety Duck, Venison, Lamb, and Rabbit.

Generally, it's recommended to have as much variety as possible (both for food intolerances and in case formulas change/disappear). In addition to chicken, turkey and beef, you can find lamb, venison, rabbit and pork fairly easily. Some brands that carry those are Nature's Variety Instinct and Hound & Gatos.

I personally think that feeding fish flavored meals once a month (3-4 meals like you intend) is fine.
