Looking for assistance

I'm in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and don't know where to look for help in rescuing a dumped mama cat and her kitten (she may have more). Does anybody know someone to call? The county won't help, of course. I'm alone and don't even have anyone to ask that would help me try and round her up. Thanks!

Here's a list of shelters in Arkansas: http://www.h4ha.org/shelters/usa/arkansas.html You could perhaps try some of the rescues outside of your immediate area since they may know of someone local that could help. Also, call the vets in your area and see if they know of anyone who could help you. Many vets do offer adoption services for special cases, and yours may qualify.

Thanks for the info. I've tried everything I can think of, but no one will help me or take them. I called the only vet I know that might have taken them, but they're under quarantine because someone left an infected cat. I'm so upset and I don't know what else to do. I'm also so angry that people do this. Thanks anyway.

You might also try contacting Alley Cat Allies http://www.alleycat.org/ They may have some Feral Friends in your area they can hook you up with.
